I'd bet my bottom dollar, it's too much!

If you run your business from your heart, you are probably a lot like I used to be.

Everyone you meet telling you what a generous, loving, and wise person you are. BUT...you are SO broke and about to burn out if things don't change, pronto!

Women like us work for the inner paycheck and to contribute to the greater good, not to fatten our wallets. But, gee, someone has to pay the bills...and wouldn't it be nice to stop burning the candle at both ends, or finally go to that teacher training or retreat in Bali or Costa Rica you've been drooling over for years? I feel your pain and I'm here to help.

There was a time when it made me sick to my stomach to have to ask people for money for a private yoga session with me...and forget raising my rate on clients after that! I’d rather have a colonoscopy!!

Eventually, I had to ask for money, and later, I needed to raise my rate. I have developed a system to accomplish this without all the pain that usually accompanies talking about money in heart centered businesses.

Would you like to know how to set or raise your rate without guilt, worry or that sinking feeling in your stomach?

How about having a rate the people who need you most can afford, allows you to help more people, and doesn't make you feel like you are being greedy by asking to be paid for your work? Wouldn't that feel awesome? It's completely possible!

Have you ever found yourself in what I call a “Discount Drama?”

Does this conversation feel familiar?

Client: How much do you charge for that?

You: (Ugh!) Weeell...I normally charge (insert rate), but for yooou, I’ll only charge (insert lower rate)?**

This can then go several different ways probable inner commentary in green and listed below in order of responses that feel a little yucky to soul crushing...

Client: Oh, ok…let me think about it and get back to you. (That felt yucky)

or

Client: I can’t afford THAT! (OMG!I am a bad person!)

or

Client: Could you do it for (insert even lower rate). (I am worthless)

**Yes that is a question mark at the end of that sentence. I bet your tone says you are asking permission to charge them this rock bottom rate. :-)

I can tell you from experience that when I created harmony between my beliefs and my rate, everything felt better. I felt lighter and could breathe deeper. 

Through a series of inner changes and outer actions, I discovered that the only thing ever stopping me from receiving more pay (even in a down economy) for the work I did was the discord created by my unfounded fears and faulty beliefs about my value.
